Asamoah Gyan: From Premier League Failure to African Football Millionaire

Jakarta

Remember names Asamoah Gyan? One of the footballers from Africa who was once said to be talented even failed at Premier League. Now a millionaire, you know!

Reporting from the Daily Star, Asamoah Gyan has a net income per year of 18 million Pounds or the equivalent of IDR 333 billion per year. Gyan is also included in the list of one of the richest former footballers on African soil.

Asamoah Gyan is a man from Ghana who is now 37 years old. He hangs up his boots in 2021.

Gyan’s career has not been high-profile. Having strengthened Sunderland in 2010 and was touted as a talented footballer at that time, Gyan could not shine.

He only played 34 times in the Premier League and recorded 10 goals. After only a year, Gyan was sold to a football club in Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain FC.

Asamoah Gyan apparently may not shine in the world of football. But Gyan is smart enough for business and is already preparing for old age to become ‘sultan’!

Gyan seems to have saved and invested while playing in Abu Dhabi. At that time, Gyan played for five years (one year on loan) and earned a salary of 80 thousand Pounds.

When he moved to China, his pockets were even thicker. Gyan played for Shanghai Port for two years and pocketed a hefty salary. Plus a bonus of 3 million Pounds per goal!

Gyan made a total of eight goals in China. Unfortunately, it only lasted two years there.

Asamoah Gyan is known to have invested in a sports promoter called Baby Jet Promotions, entertainment business JetLink Events & Logistics for concert purposes, also owned 30 buses and several gas stations in Accra, the capital of Ghana.

Gyan also ventured into the culinary field by owning the Mama Vits Noodles and Rice and Paradise Pac Drinking Water companies.

So now, Gyan is enjoying his old age.
