Former Chairman of Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), Ahyudin, was charged with 4 years in prison in case of misappropriation of funds. Ahyudin asked the judge to acquit him of the charges because he had 14 children.
Ahyuddin’s lawyer, Irfan Junaedi, read the acquittal plea. He said Ahyudin was the backbone of the family.
“The defendant is the backbone of dozens of families, he has 14 young children, all of them still need the love of a father and also the education and health care costs that must be prepared by the defendant,” said the lawyer. Irfan has asked his client to be released. Irfan asked the judge to accept his client’s defense memorandum or plea.
“We, the defendant’s lawyers, respectfully ask the Honorable Panel of Judges, which examined and tried the main case, to be happy to decide that the request for a memorandum of defense (pleidoi) from the legal advisers of the The defendant said he rejected the allegations and/or the prosecutor’s requests as a whole, Irfan said.
Furthermore, Irfan asked the judge to find his client innocent as an indictment by the prosecutor. He asked his client to be released from the prosecutor’s charges.
“Stays that the accused Drs Ahyudin has not been lawfully and convincingly proven guilty of committing a crime under Article 374 of the Penal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Penal Code. Absolves defendant Drs Ahyudin of all lawsuits (vrijspraak) or declare defendant Drs Ahyudin acquitted of all lawsuits (ontslag van alle rechtsopvolging),” he continued.
Furthermore, Ahyudin’s party requested the judge to restore Ahyudin’s rights to position, dignity and status.
