Putin’s Army gains ground as kyiv waits for new military equipment
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmitro Kuleba, asked his European Union counterparts this Monday not to relax when it comes to sending military aid to kyiv, after the United States House of Representatives approved last Saturday after months of blocked a new support package for Ukraine worth more than $60 billion.
“We all welcome the decision of the US House of Representatives to provide a powerful aid package for Ukraine. But we in Europe cannot and should not relax,” Kuleba said in a videoconference speech before the Community Council of Foreign and Defense Ministers.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted that “the defense of Europe is primarily a matter for Europeans.”

“In the six months of debate (on the approval of the aid package) in the US, Europe has shown true leadership and the ability to act,” added Kuleba, who showed his gratitude to his colleagues on the continent.
The Ukrainian minister called for “concrete and bold decisions” to deliver to Ukraine more Patriot and SAMP-T air defense systems, more missiles and additional artillery systems with their corresponding ammunition.
“Now that everyone is here at the table, it is time to act, not debate,” stressed Kuleba, who insisted that Europe must help Ukraine defeat Russia if it wants to prevent the Kremlin’s military aggression from spreading to other countries. of the continent.

The Russian Army has taken the Ukrainian town of Novomijailivka, located between Márina and Vugledar, putting the latter at risk of encirclement, as reported today by the Russian Ministry of Defense in its daily war report.
“The units of the southern military group liberated the town of Novomijailivka, in the Donetsk People’s Republic, thanks to their successful actions,” the military department indicated on Telegram.
According to the advisor to the leader of Donetsk, Igor Kimanovski, told the Russian agency TASS, this town “is of strategic importance from the point of view of the capture of Vugledar.”
“Its liberation opens an additional access route to encircle this large logistical hub of the Ukrainian Army in the southern sector of the Donetsk front and brings us closer to the possibility of encircling Vugledar.”
On the Ukrainian side, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army did not comment on this information and limited itself to reporting that its forces “continue to contain” the Russian Army in this sector.
However, the Ukrainian media DeepState reported the day before that Russian forces controlled the majority of this town, which was home to 1.5 thousand people before the start of the war.
This Sunday, Russia also announced the capture of the town of Bogdainiva, in the vicinity of the strategic bastion of Chasiv Yar, an important crossroads in the Donetsk region.
The capture of said crossroads would pave the way for the Russian attack against the main Ukrainian military center in Donbas, Kramatorsk, and the city of Sloviansk, where the pro-Russian uprising broke out in 2014.
In October 2023, the Russian army launched an offensive along the entire front that has allowed it to recover several Ukrainian strongholds, among which Avdivka, a town on the outskirts of the city of Donetsk, stands out.
