AS Roma failed to achieve perfect points in the first match Italian League 2020/2021. Visited to headquarters Hellas Verona, Wolves of the Capital City were held to a goalless draw.

The duel for Verona vs Roma was held at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium, Sunday (20/9/2020) in the morning WIB. Both teams appeared open since the referee blew the whistle at the start of the match.

Roma opened up opportunities in the seventh minute through Leonardo Spinazzolla’s shot. His efforts are still far from being targeted.

Verona almost opened the scoring in the 28th minute. Lubomir Tupta kicks off the ball from inside the Roma penalty box, but his attempt is saved by Antonio Mirante.

Roma threatened back four minutes later. Jordan Veretout kicks the ball towards the goal from outside the penalty box. His efforts can still be thwarted by goalkeeper Marcro Silvestri.

There are no goals created until entering the interval. The first half closed with the score equally strong 0-0.

During the first half of the match, Roma appeared more dominant with 62 percent of the ball and fired 14 shots. There is also Verona only three attempts and control the ball as much as 38 percent.

After halftime, Verona was more active in attacking. The home team surrounded the Roma defense in the first 10 minutes of the second half.

Verona came close to breaking the deadlock on 82 ‘. Federico Dimarco attempted an attempt from outside the area and his shot was rushing towards the goal, but the ball hit the post and produced no result.

Three minutes later, it was Roma’s turn to get a golden opportunity. Leonardo Spinazzola shoots the ball from distance which flies towards the goal, but the ball still hits the bar.

Both teams still failed to score until the match ended. The match is complete with the score a goalless draw.
