“AS Roma Coach José Mourinho Downplays European Final Record Ahead of Sevilla Clash”

Jose Mourinho has a perfect record in European finals. However, coach AS Roma it does not believe the record can help his team win.

Rome will face Sevilla in the finals Europa League. The Seville vs Roma duel will be held at the Puskas Arena, Budapest, Thursday (1/6/2023) in the morning WIB.

Ahead of the duel against Sevilla, Roma are supported by Mourinho’s record in European finals. The Portuguese coach has always won in the five European finals he has played in.

However, Mourinho does not see this record as an advantage. However, this is yet another final that he must face.

“History doesn’t make you win at all. You see Real Madrid finals and you think Real Madrid won every final. You see Sevilla and you say Sevilla won every final,” Mourinho said.

“But the reality is that history doesn’t win. I don’t like superstitions, so I don’t see superstitions even as a factor.”

“This is a new final. This is new history. They have experience there. We have experience because not so long ago (in a European final), we were there last season. So there are no problems, I just want to play,” said Mourinho.

Sevilla on the other hand also have a perfect record in Europa League finals. Entering the final six times in this competition, the Rojiblancos have always won.
