From 00.00 on April 16, 2022, access to the Bulgarian sea and river ports is prohibited for all vessels registered under the Russian flag, as well as for all vessels that have changed their Russian flag or registration to the flag or the register on which and any other country after February 24, 2022. This was announced by the Maritime Administration.
The prohibition is introduced on the grounds of art. 3e (1) and (2) of Council Regulation (EU) 2022/576 of 8 April 2022 amending Regulation (EU) № 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine (OJ 111/1 of 8 April 2022).
