The regulating valves of the radiators should be opened to the maximum, advises the company
EVN Heating begins a phased supply of heat energy for all its household and
business customers in Plovdiv as of October 21, 2024, the energy company announced. In view of the lowering of temperatures and in order to ensure the comfort of its customers, the company announces the beginning of the heating season 2024/25. The start-up of the heating will take place in stages in the following order: children’s and health facilities; schools and other educational institutions; public and commercial buildings; residential buildings.
It is important that the regulating valves of the radiators are opened to the maximum. This will allow efficient venting of the heating elements and better heating.
After turning on the steam room in the buildings, EVN advises subscribers to adjust the degree of heating as desired. The individual distribution devices (IDUs) should be checked, as well as the regulating valves of the radiators. In the event that the IRU display has no readings or the device itself is not attached to the radiator, subscribers should contact their heat accountant in a timely manner.
It is also necessary to check the water meters for domestic hot water in the property. If a malfunction is noticed – non-reporting of consumption, broken integrity of the seal/metrological sticker, expired metrological check – the heat accountant should be notified. Failure to do so will result in an avoidable charge.
In case the temperatures rise in the coming days, subscriber stations will be switched off
automatically. This is possible thanks to the installed temperature sensors.
