The new place for declaration and payment is the Ministry of e-Governance

From March 1, 2024, the declaration and payment ofand local taxes and fees electronically will be carried out through the portal of the Ministry of Electronic Government (MEU), and these services will be removed from the electronic platform of NAA. For the convenience of users who want to declare and pay their obligations to the municipalities, a link to the MEU website will be provided in the NRA’s Electronic Services Portal.

The purpose of the change is to minimize the processing time of the data declared by the users, as well as the synchronization of the information on the paid local taxes. Since 2005, local taxes and fees have been administered by municipalities, not by the revenue agency. For this reason, currently the data on the paid local taxes and fees, which are exchanged between the information systems of the municipalities and the NRA, are loaded at different time intervals in the e-Portal of the revenue agency, which is why there is a discrepancy in the reports that customers receive online from the National Revenue Agency and from the municipalities.

In addition to e-Gov.bg, individuals and legal entities have the opportunity to declare and pay their local taxes and fees through the electronic services of the respective municipality, the System for secure electronic delivery and the Single entry point for electronic payments for the central and local administrations of the MEU.
