France has been progressively easing anti-restrictions since February 2. This was announced by French Prime Minister Jean Castex, world agencies reported.

On this date, the restrictions on the number of spectators at sports, cultural and entertainment venues will be removed, and remote work will only be recommended. The discos will open on February 16.

From February 2, the wearing of masks in the open will be abolished in some areas where the distance cannot be observed.

Before that, however, the vaccination pass should take effect on January 24. It allows only those who have a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 to gain access to restaurants, cafes, transport and entertainment. Until now, those who test negative for coronavirus have had access to these sites. Castex said the omission could be lifted at a later stage if the risk to public health is significantly reduced, BTA reported.

The introduction of a vaccination pass has been approved by the French parliament, but has not yet been given the green light by the Constitutional Court. The measure has already sparked protests in the country.
