YOROKOGUIA- It was the first Guinean classico of this new season which was played this Sunday at the Yorokoguia sports center in the prefecture of Dubreka, more than 50 KM from the capital Conakry.
On the 10th day of the Guinean Ligue 1 football championship, Horoya AC welcomed AS Kaloum into its lair for this match described as classico pitting the two best Guinean clubs in terms of rivalry and records against each other. On arrival, the Kaloumistes won (1-0), thanks to a goal from Mohamed Lamine Camara scored on a direct free kick in the 10th minute of play.
A success which allows Kaloum to move up the rankings and temporarily occupy third place with 14 points while Horoya, with this 4th defeat of the season, totals 12 points. Over the last 20 classico matches, Horoya has 9 wins, 6 draws, and 5 wins for AS Kaloum.
In the other match of the day, CI Kamsar (2nd in the standings with 18 points), was held in check in Kamsar by Loubha (1-1). Loubha, who snatched 2 points from Kamsar against Wakriya and CIK, now total 8 points but still remain in the relegation zone.
