According to the plans of several municipalities, the rapid cycle routes in Berlin are to be extended in the southwest to Brandenburg.
In a first step, three suitable route corridors have been determined: Werder (Havel) – Potsdam, Potsdam – Teltow and Potsdam – Berlin-Wannsee, announced Brandenburg’s state capital Potsdam on Sunday.
The project is being managed jointly with the Berlin Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection and the municipalities of Schwielowsee, Nuthetal, Stahnsdorf Kleinmachnow, Werder (Havel), Teltow and the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district.
It was pushed by the Potsdam-Mittelmark district.
Citizens can participate in the plans. Anyone interested can find out about the route suggestions online and comment on them. Participation will be open from September 8th to 29th www.potsdam-mittelmark.de available online. In addition, a live stream will be offered on September 22nd between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in order to present the interim results of a feasibility study and to answer questions.
Following the participation process, the feedback is evaluated and coordinated with the project partners. The project should be completed in December. (Dpa)
