TRIBUNKALTIM.CO, BONTANG – Rusunawa Guntung which has been used as a place of isolation since last week, is now filled with 25 patients Covid-19, Wednesday (21/7/2021).
Head of the Department of Health (Dinkes) Bontang, dr Bahauddin said, of the 25 people, 3 of whom were observational patients.
During Eid al-Adha yesterday, there was an addition of 9 patients.
Almost all of the additional patients in the flats are patients with severe symptoms who have been treated in hospitals, including the Taman Husada Hospital, Amalia Hospital, and Yabis Hospital.
“Yes, it was moved to a flat because the hospital was starting to fill up,” said Bahauddin, Wednesday (21/7/2021).
Explained Bahauddin, there are 18 patients from the hospital who are currently undergoing a recovery period in Rusunawa Guntung.
“In the flat they are undergoing a period of recovery. Later, they will be treated for a week or a maximum of 14 days,” he said.
From 4 floors Rusunawa Guntung, only floors 2 to 4 are used for isolation.
While the ground floor for health workers and other support officers. There is only one patient who is being treated on the ground floor, because he still needs oxygen.
“Of the total 50 rooms that have been prepared, now the remaining half are empty,” he said.
Previously, one occupant of the Rusunawa was referred to the Taman Husada Bontang Hospital.
The patient’s condition had deteriorated, so he needed the treatment of medical equipment according to the standards in the hospital.
In fact, the patient’s condition had improved, but suddenly decreased, oxygen saturation was below 95.
As a result, the health team Rusunawa Guntung decided to refer the patient to the Taman Husada Hospital for intensive care.
