The Egyptian actress Hanan Mutawa appeared to the audience of the Ramadan drama this year with a strong presence and a distinguished performance, through the series “Generous Promises”, where she drew attention to the “generous” personality that she presented in the work and differs in its details from any character she presented before in her artistic career, according to her expression.
Hanan Mutawa spoke in an exclusive interview to “Sky News Arabia” about the reasons for her participation in this work, saying: “I loved my role in (generous promises) and I felt the importance of working in my artistic career, and thank God it appeared as a result of this great effort among the audience.”
“generous” transformations and revenge
Regarding the details of the “generous” character and the success she achieved in Ramadan, she said: “I expected the success of the character because of the challenges and changes that occur in her life. There is an interesting dramatic escalation throughout the events, but the success that happened to the work exceeded my expectations.”
She added, “What contributed to the success of the work and a character like “generous” is its different details, which are completely different from what it presented before, as it is a character that faced many problems and injustice at the beginning, and then completely transformed into another, more violent character, and a motive for revenge was born within it.
And she continued: “(generous) characters that exhausted me greatly in terms of acting, so it required a great effort in performance, not only internally but at the level of voice and its emotions, also on the external level of her appearance and the transformation that occurs to her, in addition to her belonging to the popular class. It required moving to film between more than one place in her world so that the viewer would believe what was happening.
Regarding the reasons for presenting the work over the course of only 15 episodes, Mutawa said: “The idea of the work and the topic that we present is compatible with presenting it in only 15 episodes. The message that the work and events carry was appropriate for this number of episodes.”
She added that the number of episodes depends on the topic being discussed. There are ideas that must be presented over the course of 30 episodes, and there are works that reach their idea, and the topic being discussed is only 15 episodes, so according to the idea that we present, the matter is determined.
“Safieh” .. a brave model
In her interview with Sky News Arabia, Hanan Mutawa touched on her other work, which she co-starred with Ahmed Fahmy, Ahmed Al-Saadani and Hussein Fahmy, which is the series “Surra Al-Batea”.
She said, “I became convinced of the (Safi) character that I presented in the work, as she is one of the characters close to my heart, and she is a model for the brave Egyptian woman, and her pivotal role in this important period in Egypt’s history.”

Hanan Mutawa commented about the works that she watched and liked, and said: “I could not watch a large number of works because I finished filming a few days ago. Due to the participation of my mother, the artist, Suhair Al-Morshedi, in his starring role, she was certainly keen to follow him, and she was wonderful as usual, and she also saw “generous promises”, and she liked his idea very much, and she supported the great change that occurred with me in this role.
Hanan Mutawa concluded her conversation with “Sky News Arabia” by talking about her other hobbies, and her daughter “Amalia”, saying: “I love reading a lot, as it is one of my favorite hobbies. I also love watching works, to know what is new, and I also spend most of my time with my daughter, playing Together, I try all the time to compensate for my absence from her because of my preoccupation with photography, and my husband always supports me in my work, and I consult him on many matters related to work, and he also helps me a lot in any matter related to our daughter, and I thank him for always standing by my side.
