AS “Aldaris” turnover in 2021 reached 21.6 million euros, which is 2.83% less than in 2020. During the reporting period, the company operated with a loss of 2.1 million euros.

It has managed to reduce losses by approximately 36% compared to 2020, which was predictable under the conditions caused by the pandemic, the company reports.

In 2021, the company’s plans continued to be affected by the introduced restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, which most affected the HoReCa sector and the conduct of various public events. The company’s sales in Latvia in 2021 amounted to 38.2 million liters, which is 2% less than the previous year.

Last year’s indicators show that the total realized beer market share of AS “Aldaris” continued to grow, amounting to 26.4%, which is 0.7% more than in 2020. Due to the growing demand for non-traditional flavors, the company has invested almost 30 thousand euros in diversifying the product portfolio of “Mežpils alus”.
In 2022, the company plans to maintain the position of the Latvian beer market at the previous year’s level, as well as develop both new products and introduce innovative, environmentally friendly packaging.

“Sustainability is one of the priorities of the “Carlsberg” group and also of “Aldaris” AS. The set goals of the environmental, social and management program “Together Towards Zero” are to reach zero carbon dioxide emissions, stop water wastage, irresponsible consumption of alcoholic beverages and accident statistics. Each of these big goals has defined sub-goals to be achieved in 2022 and 2030. For example, by 2030 it is planned to eliminate carbon emissions from breweries and reduce the “green footprint” of chain companies by 30%. improvements in all processes, including a gradually renewed car fleet and employees trained in driving, which reduces fuel consumption and, accordingly, less harm to the environment, as well as we try to stick more and more to the principles of the circular economy, reducing both the use of new resources for packaging and being responsible for natural resources. “Aldaris” received a silver award as the “Safest company fleet”, it is stated a member of the board of AS “Aldaris”, Elīna Aščukas.
