With plug-in hybrids, which due to their positive effect on fleet emissions are offered by virtually all mainstream carmakers, as if forgetting the classic, so-called full-hybrids.
–
The Ford Kuga portfolio will not lack such a drive, the carmaker has already started to produce a medium electrified system with a blue oval in the emblem. The first such cars made in Valencia, Spain, will arrive in the Czech Republic next year with the abbreviation FHEV.
–
The powertrain uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an atkinson steam cycle with an eCVT continuously variable transmission, as well as a plug-in hybrid. However, the system power is 140 kW, 190 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid offers 165 kW, 225 hp.
–
The weaker electric motor is powered by a small lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.1 kWh, which, due to the nature of the device, is charged only from the internal combustion engine or brake energy recuperation. However, it is enough to reduce consumption to 5.5 liters per 100 km in the combined WLTP cycle.
–
This is close to that of diesel engines, as well as a range of 1000 km per refueling of a 54-liter tank. The full-hybrid kuga is also the only electrified version to offer all-wheel drive.
–
The full-hybrid Ford Kuga starts at the Czech special price in the ST Line equipment at CZK 749,900.
