Arya Sinulingga became a member of the executive committee (exco) PSSI period 2023-2027 after being elected to the 2023 PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB) in Jakarta, Thursday (16/2).
So far, the name Arya Sinulingga is generally heard as an actor in Indonesian football. Because of that, ahead of the PSSI KLB, rumors emerged that Arya’s name had not passed verification because she had not met the requirements to be active in football for five years.
The man who was born in Kabanjahe, North Sumatra, on February 18, 1971 is big in the media sphere. Arya, who is also a graduate of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), has served as a member of the North Sumatra Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID).
From North Sumatra’s KPID, Arya began to spread his wings in the media world after joining Indovision, which is part of the MNC group.
In the MNC group, Arya Sinulingga is big and famous. Until finally Arya Sinulingga became the spokesperson for the Joko Widodo-Ma’ruf Amin national campaign team in 2019.
After the presidential election and ushering Jokowi into the presidency for the second time, Arya entered the government by filling the position of special staff for the Minister of BUMN in the field of public communications.
After becoming Erick Thohir’s special staff, Arya Sinulingga was appointed commissioner of PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Inalum).
Then in May 2021 Arya became a commissioner of PT Telkom Indonesia. After becoming a commissioner of PT Telkom, Arya left the post of commissioner of PT Inalum.
Arya Sinulingga’s movements in the world of Indonesian sports are barely audible. Even so, Arya is not anti when it comes to talking about national scale sports.
In mid-2021 Arya Sinulingga appreciates celebrities who are starting to get involved in the sports business, such as Raffi Ahmad and Atta Halilintar who own a soccer club.
Arya Sinulingga admitted that his name was on the list of potential PSSI exco members because he was the founder of the Karo United club. He also held the position of President of Karo United, which he has now left.
Apart from setting up the club, Arya was also registered with the Medan Utama club. Arya is considered to have an interesting program for the club from North Sumatra.
Arya Sinulingga was elected as a member of the 2023-2027 PSSI Exco after collecting 58 votes in the second round of the election.
