Round 2 will be produced by Neelam Productions, The Show People and Nadu Studios.
The first part was released on 22 July 2021 through Amazon Prime. It could not be released in the theater because it was the time of covid. But in OTT, the film was received with open arms. The story of ‘Sarpatta Sarajrai’ revolves around two groups of boxing fans in Chennai in the 80s. The film featured Santhosh Pratap, Shabir Kallarakal, John Cocken, Pashupathi and Kalaiyarasan in the lead roles. Produced by K9 Studios, the music is composed by Santosh Narayanan. Murali Ji was the cinematographer. Dilip Subbarayan’s action scenes were also much discussed.
