Arvind Kejriwal News: Suspense on CM Arvind Kejriwal appearing before ED in Delhi liquor scam! Is this the big reason?

There is suspense over Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appearing before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi liquor scam case. The investigating agency ED has asked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to appear on 21st December, while Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has to go for Vipassana Yoga Sadhana as per his pre-determined program from 19th to 30th December. In such a situation, it is not clear whether the Chief Minister will appear before the ED or not.

Let us tell you that the investigating agency had called Arvind Kejriwal to appear for the first time on November 2, but he did not appear before the investigating agency alleging that the notice was vague, (politically) motivated and not maintainable as per law. Was. Officials said the summons sent to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Kejriwal pertains to his interrogation and recording of his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in the alleged Delhi Excise Policy case. He said that he has to appear at the ED headquarters here on December 21.

Delhi government officials had said on Saturday that Kejriwal would leave for a 10-day Vipassana meditation program at an undisclosed location on December 19. After this this latest incident has come to light. Earlier, AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh were arrested in the excise policy case. It is expected that the agency will soon file a supplementary charge sheet in the case.

It is alleged that the Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22 for granting licenses to liquor traders was designed to benefit some liquor traders, who allegedly paid bribes for it. AAP has repeatedly denied this allegation. The policy was later repealed and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation, following which the ED registered a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

After the first summons, AAP had alleged that Kejriwal would be arrested as part of a BJP conspiracy to target India’s top leaders ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and that the ED notice was an attempt to dismantle the party, which Is in power in Delhi and Punjab. The ED has mentioned Kejriwal’s name several times in its charge sheet filed in the case and said that the accused were in touch with him regarding the preparation of the now canceled Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

After the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued summons to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for questioning on December 21 in the money laundering case related to Delhi Excise Policy, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday termed the Excise Policy case as fake and false. Is. AAP Rajya Sabha member Sandeep Pathak told reporters that his lawyers are studying the notice.
