BANJARMASINPOST.CO.ID, BATULICIN – PT Arutmin Indonesia Batulicin Mine in collaboration with the Tanah Bumbu Health Service (Tanbu) and Tanah Bumbu Police, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) held the selection of Arutmin Care Ambassadors for HIV/AIDS and Drugs (Narcotics, Psychotropics and Other Addictive Substances) which was attended by participants from high school representatives from all over the world. The election for the Ambassador for HIV/AIDS and Drugs Care was held in the Hall of PT Arutmin Indonesia Batulicin Mine, Monday (20/12/2021).
In this activity, the participants presented about the dangers of HIV/AIDS and drugs in front of the jury.
What AIDS/HIV is and what the dangers and effects of drugs are like, explained by the contestants with various communication styles.
Regarding this activity, PT Arutmin Indonesia’s Community Development SHEC, Ahmad Syahid said that the selection of Arutmin’s Ambassadors for HIV/AIDS and Drugs was a form of prevention program by involving the younger generation, especially students.

“As we know, it is easier for students to enter promiscuity and drugs. By making students ambassadors, it is hoped that they can prevent and at the same time carry out socialization both in the school environment, in the community and in the family environment,” he explained.
The Head of the Tanbu Health Service, through the Head of the HIV/AIDS Program Manager, Novi Faridah, said that the Tanbu Health Service was very grateful for the selection of the Arutmin Ambassadors for HIV/AIDS and Drugs.
Moreover, this activity has been regularly held and in 2021 it has entered its third year.
“I hope that the selected ambassadors in this activity can help us in the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and drugs in Tanahbumbu Regency,” he hoped.
It was also added that in this event the participants were judged to be of very high quality. This can be seen from the initial selection of written, visual, and written works.
