Artworks and cinematic trailers are in tune with the approaching launch

After PlayStation 4 owners have enjoyed titles like “Nioh 2”, the remake of “Final Fantasy VII” or “The Last of Us: Part 2” in the past few months, the next potential exclusive hit is already in the starting blocks .

We are of course talking about the samurai adventure “Ghost of Tsushima”, which has been in progress at the US studio Sucker Punch in recent years. To get you in the mood for the upcoming release of the title, Sucker Punch released a quartet of fresh artwork. These are available for viewing in our gallery.

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sucker Punch also launched the atmospheric “A Storm is Coming” trailer (or “A storm is coming up”). The focus is on the dramatic plot. You can see the clip below below the gallery.

Face the Mongol army

“Ghost of Tsushima” transports players into the 13th century, in which the Asian continent is exposed to a conquest by the Mongol Empire. The eponymous island of Tsushima, which also serves as the setting for the title, is the last bulwark that still stands between the Japanese mainland and the Mongolian army. The Mongols are led by the cruel General Khotun Khan.

You take control of the protagonist Jin Sakai, who is one of the last survivors of his clan and opposes the Mongols. “He must abandon the traditions that made him a warrior, to go a new path – the path of the spirit – and wage an unconventional war to regain freedom from Tsushima,” the official said.

“Ghost of Tsushima” will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4 from July 17, 2020.
