Artur Wichniarek took the floor on the future of Dawid Kownacki. The Polish striker has just fallen from the Bundesliga.
Fortuna Dusseldorf has disappointed its fans. Dawid Kownacki’s team in the last round of the season lost to Union Berlin and took 17th place in the league table. This means that Uwe Rösler’s players will play in the 2nd Bundesliga next season.
What does this mean for Dawid Kownacki? Artur Wichniarek in the Cafe Futbol program presented his point of view on this situation.
– Fortuna, when going to Union Stadium, playing with Rafał Gikiewicz, she really looked tragic. Union played a really good meeting. The expectations probably surpassed mentally Fortuna players who lost with a touch. And since Werder Bremen won with 1. FC Koeln, Fortuna fell to the 2nd Bundesliga. The fact that Kownacki would like to play in the Polish national team is today the dream of a beheaded head – he assessed.
– Unfortunately, David falls into the 2nd Bundesliga and must rebuild. I also had this situation. I went to the first league Arminia Bielefeld, I fell with her to the second league and there I started to score goals, becoming Artur Wichniarek, whose fans knew from Widzewa Łódź. That is why I think that fall is not the biggest tragedy – added the expert of “Polsat Sport”.
Kownacki played in 20 matches in the Bundesliga this season. He did not score a single goal in them, nor did he record any assistance.
