When Arto Nyberg is asked what kind of spouse he is, he gives the answer without hesitation:

– I didn’t lie at all, Arto Nyberg laughs.

Sara praises Arto, among other things, for cooking for her. Arto laughs that his bravado is a “red label chicken in its various forms”.

Arto and Sara Nyberg have been together for 35 years. Work keeps you busy, but you also find time for a relationship. The couple enjoys, among other things, traveling together and going to the theater. They don’t know how to give everyday relationship tips.

20 years of Arto Nyberg

Arto Nyberg has hosted the talk show that bears his name for twenty years. Nyberg says that even Arto Nyberg is shown on TV for 45 minutes once a week, there is enough work for the whole week.

The program is conceived and implemented by a work group of three people. The entire season’s episodes are made at once.

There is no end in sight for the program, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Nyberg laughs that he could very well enjoy himself on the screen for another 20 years.

– I don’t know if anyone would be able to watch Arto in his seventies anymore, Nyberg thinks.

Arto Nyberg has been presented by Yleisradio since the beginning. Yle has recently been in the headlines for its drastic cuts. Nyberg also feels bad about the surgeries.

– At the same time that Yle should buy more from small producers, it should fire someone. The equation is quite difficult.
