Epic Games' powerful Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine

If you've heard about the new Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine, but haven't yet fully understood what the tool is capable of, then you're reading the right article.

Recently, the company Quixel, dedicated to the creation of products related to creations and 3D art, carried out a project called "Ninety Days in Unreal Engine 5". Basically, the idea involved inviting some artists to create environments in real time within a few days. The project developed and, last week, the company revealed the result of more than 40 environments created in the Unreal Engine 5 through a powerful and incredible video.

According to the company, "the Ninety Days project started with just three main artists and a simple concept: make something beautiful and inspiring, keep it in real time and if possible build each environment in just three days". A few days later, other artists, even from Epic Games, were invited and joined the project.

To carry out this work, the artists had the help of some Quixel tools, such as the Megascans library, to create high quality content in a more efficient and simple way.

Product Strategist and Lead Artist at Quixel and Epic Games, Wiktor Öhman, indicated that the project was very important in terms of learning, and even says that "I feel that I added more skills and tools to my resume during the "Ninenta Dias" project than in the last five years of my career".

In turn, Alec Tucker, Cinematographic Environment Artist also at Quixel and Epic Games, said that the creation of environments was fast and interactive, through the resources of Unreal Engine 5 and Quixel Megascans.
