Artists in Kiev create a mural to raise funds to fight Russian aggression / Article

On the wall of the building is a saint holding a weapon. The work is called “Saint Javelin” and is a reference to the widely popular anti-tank weapon created in the West. The initiators of the project are the group of artists “Kailas-V”, and its member Jan Volka emphasized in a conversation with the media that the idea of the work is not related to faith, religious images or the Virgin Mary. It is not intended to provoke or influence deeply religious people. It is only art, and the image of the saint was used to help the Ukrainians get out of a difficult situation. The project has already raised about 1.9 million euros. The total area of the mural is about 160 square meters, and a projector has been used to create it. The work continues, but people can already clearly get to know the artist’s intention.
