After the “Fête de la musique” comes the return invitation from Breisgau
It is a premiere for Freiburg and for the cross-border cooperation between artists from Breisgau and Alsace: For the first time, the city of Freiburg invites its colleagues from Mulhouse to the music festival “Freiburg tunes in”.
For more than 14 years, the “Freiburger Bühne/ Scène Fribourgeoise” has been an integral part of the annual “Fête de la musique” in Mulhouse. On Tuesday, June 21st, 2022, musicians from Freiburg will play there again this year. For the first time there is now also a counter-invitation from Freiburg: bands and artists from Alsace are coming to the music festival “Freiburgstimmt ein” on Sunday, June 26th, 2022. The “Hoppla Mulhouse” stage will be set up in the canteen garden. The groups AD El Mariachi (rap), Trigger King (hard rock), Terne (post punk), Kamarad (post punk), Anastasia (chanson pop) and Smoke & Mirrors (rock) will be playing there between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. Five days earlier, The Astronaut & the Fox, Seven Purple Tigers, Exil 46, Lightrain and the Funky Marching Band from Freiburg are playing in Mulhouse.
“We warmly welcome the French musicians to Freiburg and look forward to a lively, intercultural encounter,” says Freiburg’s Mayor Ulrich von Kirchbach. With more than 1,000 artists, Freiburg has developed into the country’s largest free hands-on festival.
