The “My Role Model” program celebrates national symbols as an example and role model for new generations in belonging to the homeland and preserving its identity.
The workshop included introducing the participants to the basics of Arabic calligraphy and Islamic art. It also touched on the types of Arabic calligraphy and the pens and inks used in it. It also provided an overview of the writing of the Holy Qur’an and the type of calligraphy in which it was written. Then Al-Amiri wrote the names of the participants in different types of Arabic calligraphy.
The artist, Ali Al-Amiri, told Al-Ittihad that he was happy to participate in the first workshop that will be held in Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi, pointing out that another workshop will be held in Al-Ruwais on the 31st of June.
He stressed that the two workshops are considered an important entry point for introducing students to this beautiful art that adorns and distinguishes the language of Dhad. He also appreciated the efforts made by the concerned institutions in the country, which aim primarily at preserving the Arabic language and its original arts, noting that introducing young people to Arabic calligraphy gives them more skills and trains them to realize taste.
