The summer courses and workshops for children began on 3rd of July within the circuit of arts located in the Faculty of Visual Arts (FAV) and the Faculty of Music (FAMUS), at the Mederos Campus of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon.

“Travellers in art” of the FAV has a duration that goes from 3 al 28 of July and it includes from four visits to city museums to eight different workshops, materials, sports class and musical initiation.
“The workshop consists of four weeks where the children will find a broken time machine, which they will try to repair without succeeding in the first four opportunities.
“In addition, each week they will travel to a different planet and the children will produce objects, begin in the artistic world and play sports,” reported Joana Maldonado Navarro, coordinator of the Faculty’s art workshops.

Exploring the country of music
A few meters from the FAV building is “El país de la música”, inside the Summer Music Campfrom the Faculty of Music, where week by week different aspects of a musical country will be explored, including:
“Our summer camp starts on 3rd of July and concludes the 28 of July and is called El país de la música, where every week different aspects of this art are explored.

“The first week we will learn about the elements that make up the country, in the second week the animals and their ecosystems, in the third the areas of the castle are explored and in the last week its inhabitants, musicians from different eras,” he reported. Adriana Lucía Montemayor Molina, coordinator of musical initiation at FAMUS.
The camp includes musical appreciation, theater and choir, as well as musical games, a circle of percussions and plastic arts in groups divided into the following ages:

Montemayor Molina added that the participants work daily on projects that they take home, in addition to the fact that an open class for parents will be held in the last week.
