Artist Wafaa Makki to submit report to Public Prosecutor revealing new leaks on her infamous maid torture case after 23 years

The Egyptian artist, Wafaa Makki, revealed that she will submit a report to the Public Prosecutor and reveal new leaks for the first time in the case of her torture of two maids, 23 years after that incident.

Wafaa Makki told “Cairo 24” that she has audio recordings and new leaks proving her innocence in her famous case of the torture of two maids, pending: There are recordings of Mayar al-Beblawi, leaks, confessions and witnesses from the girls’ families that will show the truth and prove my innocence, and I will present it to the Public Prosecutor and I made a power of attorney for the union of 4 or 5 days, and my compensation is that my innocence goes back to the Attorney General.

Regarding Mayar al-Beblawy’s evidence of her innocence 23 years ago, Wafaa Makki explained: Mayar knows that I am innocent for 23 years before I was judged, and I am still at the very beginning. O Mayar, tell the truth and testify with your conscience, but I fled and traveled to Syria until the case was over.

Wafaa Makki added: I asked for Mayar al-Beblawy’s testimony in court to say that he is not present, and I was in the case of our Lord knowing me and I didn’t know who wanted to hurt me at the time while I was at the height of my stardom, and my goal was to make a name for Leah in acting.

The journalist, Mayar Al-Beblawi, confirmed during televised statements that she was threatened with slaughtering her son in the event that she testified in the famous Wafaa Makki case of torturing two maids. Surprisingly, however, she quickly retracted her statements and confirmed that Wafaa Makki was a liar, and that she was the one who tortured the two maids, marveling at the latter’s defense of her innocence.
