Artist Leo Torres Recreates Blackreach in Unreal Engine 5: Skyrim Remaster Potential

YouTube artist Leo Torres shared a video showing the territory of Black Reach in the game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the Unreal Engine 5. The artist recreated this area on a more realistic and historically accurate scale. So look at this.

For those who don’t know, Blackreach is a huge cave system in Skyrim that runs underneath much of the game. The artist remade it in a modern engine to give us an idea of what it would look like in a Skyrim remaster or remake. It also shows a more realistic size of the place. And note – the detail is sixteen times higher than in the original.

The artist had a hard time lighting this place. Black Reach is lit primarily by glowing mushrooms, etherium veins, and glowworms. But you know what? Torres used Lumen from UE5 to make it all look amazing and give us the cool results you’re about to see.

Unfortunately, this map is not available for download. So no, you won’t be able to experience it on your PCs.
