Artist and songwriter Ina Wroldsen reveals moving plans

Musician Ina Wroldsen (36) has over the years written songs for some of the world’s greatest artists. On the merit list, she can flag off having written songs for, among others, One Direction, Demi Lovato (28), Shakira (44) and Britney Spears (39).

In addition, she has a solo career with songs such as “Strongest”, “Favela” and “Obsessed”.

In this country, she is also known as a judge in “Idol” and “The Voice”, where she guides young aspiring talents through the quest to become the country’s next great artist.

This coming Friday is the finale of this year’s season of “The Voice”, and the mentors consisting of Wroldsen, Espen Lind (50), Tom “Matoma” Stræte Lagergren (29) and Yosef Wolde-Mariam (43) will all present one participant each.

However, the former already has plans ready for what she will do when the singing competition is over for this time.

Apartment hunt

The artist is married to the Englishman Mark Elwood, and together they have a son William, who is almost 12 years old. Elwood is also Wroldsen’s manager. The family of three has long alternated between living in Norway and England, much because Wroldsen works as a songwriter in the latter country.

It is in Nettavisen’s podcast by name Schendis that she openly shares the plans further after this year’s “The Voice” winner is chosen.

– Then we will try to get to London, so I can work a little. So now we’m apartment hunting over there. I have to try to get a little work done, that is, write a little, Wroldsen says in the podcast.

Wroldsen’s spokesperson and mother, Kristin Wroldsen, confirms to Se og Hør that this is true.

– Ina hopes to get to London this summer, but these are uncertain times. She goes there to work, she writes in a text message.

It is not known how long Wroldsen will stay in London.

Met in the studio

Just a couple of weeks ago, the 36-year-old visited another podcast. At the time, it was Ida Fladen’s (35) podcast by name “Ida with her heart in her hand”. The Wroldsen opened up about marriage, and how she met her husband.

It is a full 14 years since the Sandefjord woman and her husband met for the first time in a music studio.

In the podcast, she said that Elwood had had a field hockey accident where he had received a puck in the face. His nose was cracked and his face was full of bruises. Still, it was the hottest thing she had seen.

They started talking, he offered to show her through the streets of London, they met over a few glasses of beer, and the rest is history.

Working together

After a few months, they moved in together, and a few months later, Wroldsen became pregnant. The artist was then 24 years old.

– It was spinking and saving at a high level, it was not a luxury at that time there. I’m glad we did. I feel that what makes me and Mark so strong is that we have been through all those phases together, she said in the podcast.

In the podcast, the 36-year-old pointed out that she certainly could not have had the job she has, had it not been for Elwood.

The couple is also so lucky that they have a common interest in music. This allows them, for example, to sit down together to listen to old songs, which she described as unifying.

– You have to remember those times there. I’m pretty good at saving on happy moments.
