If I had listened to myself, the titles would have come out as soon as they were finished. On the contrary, I was taught patience. I only released my single once it was flawless and it will be the same for my EP. »
Writing and singing is also a way to manage my emotions
Heady pop that borders on the urban universe, that’s what we hear in ALX’s first single: “Around you”. As well inspired by Rosalia, Chilla or Jorja Smith, the singer does not wish to restrict herself to a single genre. “I don’t ask myself the question of gender, I just want to express myself,” says the author, composer and performer.
“My creativity is nourished by my empathy”, admits ALX, a shy smile on her lips. His texts are true stories, from his experience or that of his relatives. “Writing and singing is also a way of dealing with my emotions. That’s why it was complicated to switch from English to French”, she confesses.
