Artillery Response: Dozens of Missiles Launched from Lebanon Towards Northern Israel Reported in Lebanon News Today

GBC News:The Israeli army announced today, Thursday, that it had intercepted rockets launched from Lebanon, after the occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the past two days and raised warnings of reprisals in the region, while an Israeli channel said that 100 rockets were launched from Lebanon within 10 minutes.

“Following the initial report of sirens sounding in the towns of Shlomi and Moshav Bitzet in the north, a rocket was launched from Lebanon towards Israeli territory and was successfully intercepted by the Israeli army,” the army said in a preliminary statement.

Meanwhile, Channel 14 on Israeli television said that 100 missiles were fired from Lebanon within 10 minutes at settlements and towns in northern Israel.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that two people were wounded by shrapnel from the shelling, while Israeli media reported that beaches in the coastal city of Nahariya were being evacuated.

Sirens sounded continuously in the western Galilee region, and he added that the Israeli artillery bombarded the areas of Qalila and Zibqin in southern Lebanon with a number of shells.

For its part, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said that Benjamin Netanyahu will chair a high-level security meeting to follow up developments after the bombing from Lebanon.
