ABU DHABI, 22nd September / WAM / School 42 Abu Dhabi – the innovative programming school in Abu Dhabi that adopts a shared self-learning methodology through practical projects and games – organized a hackathon entitled “Artificial Intelligence Sees a Solution: Computer Vision Hackathon 2023”, in cooperation with “Al Hathboor Bikal”, the supplier. Advanced Solutions specializes in spreading technological development for businesses and governments.
The hackathon aimed to enhance and nurture innovation among students by challenging them to harness the power of programming to find solutions to the problems facing the world using artificial intelligence. Groups of 5 students had the opportunity to collaborate and develop solutions that contribute to reshaping the features of key sectors.
The hackathon began its first day with a workshop focusing on “computer vision” using Python Frameworks programs and languages, Python Libraries, Open-source Models, and Datasets, where students learned basic skills for the hackathon that ensured their readiness to face challenges.
The first-place winning team, which included Ahmed Salem, Ghiath Abdoush, Shatha Jadallah, and Noushin Ali, developed the “Voice of Vision” application, which uses advanced computer vision and artificial intelligence technology to analyze live video broadcasts, convert them into descriptive texts, and translate them into spoken words using… Large Linguistic Model (LLM) The application also enables individuals with visual challenges to interact with their surroundings, by providing immediate audio feedback, which contributes to facilitating their daily lives and enhancing levels of inclusion.
The second-place winning team, which included Avazbek Rashidov, Timur Mazitov, Zubaidullah Abdurakhmanov, and Numan Munir, developed a web application called “Visulaw,” which enables users to take pictures of objects and instantly obtain their information, including their location. , and information about fines and relevant laws associated with these things.
The web application enhances users’ awareness and compliance with local regulations, which enhances safe interaction and raises individuals’ knowledge levels about handling things around them.
