Arthur Melo (27) moved from Juventus Turin to Fiorentina in the last transfer summer. Massimiliano Allegri (56) no longer had any need for the Brazilian. Arthur obviously doesn’t want to say goodbye to the Bianconeri for good.
Although he is currently putting his full concentration on Fiorentina, the former Brazilian international explains to the sports daily AS: “But I haven’t forgotten that I still have a valid contract with Juventus, I’m their player.”
Juve swapped Arthur for Miralem Pjanic
Juventus Turin signed Arthur in 2020 in exchange for Miralem Pjanic from FC Barcelona. In addition, the Bianconeri added a transfer fee of 20 million euros. Arthur was placed under Maurizio Sarri, but after the coach’s departure, Arthur’s star sank.
Last season, the technically skilled midfielder was on loan at Liverpool FC. His time at Andfield Road was not a good one. The 27-year-old had to take a break with knee problems and had to undergo an operation. At the end of the season there was only one game on his season record.

Juventus Turin, where Arthur is under contract until 2026, agreed on a loan deal with Fiorentina in July 2023 until the end of the season. Fiorentina also secured a purchase option.
Arthur Melo has played his way into the starting line-up for the traditional club from Tuscany and has played in central midfield in all competitive games under coach Vincenzo Italiano (45).
Return to Juventus Turin not ruled out
Arthur does not rule out a return to the Bianconeri. “I’ve always had a good relationship with them, but my goal is to do well this season and we’ll see what happens,” he announced.
