Arteta reports on Ødegaard’s progress: – He works so hard

Arteta met the media on Friday to discuss the upcoming Premier League meeting with Southampton. Unsurprisingly, the injury situation at the club became an issue.

When asked how things are going with Ødegaard, the answer was:

– It’s difficult with Martin. I expected him to still be wearing the support shoe and a lot of other things, but he is working so hard and feeling great. At the same time, it is difficult to give a time estimate.

Arteta mentioned in the same breath the defensive image of Alexander Zintchenko. The Spaniard expects the Ukrainian to be back after the international break. Ødegaard’s fight comeback is therefore more difficult in terms of timing.

This could indicate that the Norwegian is a little further away from being able to play than his team.

Ødegaard stepped forward strongly in the international match against Austria some time ago. After that, the national team doctor Ola Sand said that the star might be out for several weeks.
