Get to know the new exhibitions at the Carrillo Gil Art Museum
A few days ago, the Carrillo Gil Art Museum, located south of the capital, inaugurated its new series of temporary exhibitions, which will remain in force throughout the spring and part of the summer.
The first of them is entitled “The other Lola: documentation, persuasion and photographic experimentation 1930-1955”; curated by Dr. Deborah Dorotinsky. This exhibition analyzes the role of the materials generated by Lola Álvarez Bravo for use in periodical publications of the time.
The exhibition focuses on the work done by the artist during the decades of 1930-1940; these pieces were key to the creation of her photomontages and consolidated her as a co-constructor of the photographic visual culture on the development of the country. If you want to visit it, keep in mind that you have until before September 11.

In it, the young artist brings together a series of objects collected during his walks through the hills over two years.
The exhibition evokes the magical chambers of botanical explorers and presents sculptures, branches and various pieces, in order to seek new possible taxonomies, softer and more affective.
This exhibition, which also looks towards the mixture of the natural with the industrial, is part of a program dedicated to the presentation of unpublished projects carried out by artists under 30 years of age. Remember that the expo will remain available until August 21, 2022.
