Art does not die and is a response to the context that is lived, said Diego Drexler

The musician composed his project during the pandemic The four seasons of the senses, an EP that goes through the experiences and characteristics of the four seasons of the year. Cover art reinforces the concept of the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.

The project presented during 2020, at the beginning of each season, with the presentation in March of the first theme, “Autumn, of the flying leaves”, then “Winter, of long shadows” in June, and in September the “Spring , of the eternal return ”. The cycle now closes with the arrival of summer and the launch of the fourth song, “Verano, de los effluvios”.

Drexler counted in Points of view that the context of the pandemic was a catalyst for this creation: “Art does not die, it is a response to the context and adapts to realities and situations. Resilience comes from there, from knowing how to face the situations in which you are and with the limitations that you have to try to seek creativity. That is this project ”, he explained.

He added that it was a project that came out with all the tools he had, in the studio at the back of the artist’s house. “I did it with all the elements I had at my disposal: the photos with the cell phone, the designs, the editing of the videos, the recordings.”

The project counted with the participation of the Mexican artist Mónica Vélez who specializes in song lyrics and the musician Hugo Rocca, in the texts of the songs of spring and summer. Also noteworthy is the participation of the renowned Israeli cellist Maya Belsitzman, Leo Rodríguez on ceramic vase, Fernando Servian on drums and Federico Buono on bass.
