“Art Crosses Borders and Joins Friendships”: A Documentary on the Life and Work of Venezuelan Artist Ruggery Sánchez.

On April 30, 2023, the nominations of the premios Emmy Awardsaward that celebrates 49 uninterrupted editions exalting the quality and effort of the work by reporters through capsules, news, documentaries, series and additional programs.

It is here, where the Mundo Now press and production team, made up of Alfredo Suárez as content director, Diego Silva as creative director, and Marketing director Ramón Urdaneta, better known as Ray Sensation, call the artist to invite him to lead his life and work through a documentary which they called, ´Art Crosses Borders and Joins Friendships¨.

The art world is full of exceptional talent, but few stand out like Ruggery Sánchez, a Venezuelan artist who immigrated to the United States and has been pushing the limits of creativity since an early age, developing a unique style that has led him to the pinnacle of success in the art world.

Born in Palmira, Táchira-Venezuela, Ruggery began his artistic career in the United States, although as a child his older sister Libia taught him and motivated him to continue training in the plastic arts and activated his innate passion for painting, over time He perfected traditional drawing and painting techniques and began to experiment with different styles and forms of artistic expression.

But, his real success came when he decided to move to Atlanta to expand his horizons and seek new opportunities. There, he encountered a vibrant and diverse art community, which inspired him to explore new forms of art.

Today, Ruggery Sánchez is known for his large format paintings, which combine abstract and figurative elements to create works of art full of emotion and energy. His paintings often feature abstract figures and animals in motion, capturing the very essence of movement and life.

In addition to his work as an artist, Ruggery Sánchez is also a social activist and has used his art to address important issues such as equality and social justice.
