The 50th edition of Art Colomiers Expo (formerly “Salon d’Automne”), opened its doors on Thursday at the Hall Comminges, with guests of honor Alain Vintenon (painter), Robert Venezia (photographer), and Bernard Mages (sculptor ).
Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Jean Pierre Turmo, “photographer of the world”, will present a selection of his works. “With more than 50 countries visited, I am a traveling photographer, always curious to discover all the ethnic diversity and the beauty of nature that the world can offer us,” he writes. His photos and comments are sure to appeal to the public.
At 6 p.m., the opening of the exhibition, the awarding of jury prizes (painting-sculpture-photography), and the traditional “opening” cocktail will follow.
Sunday 8, the artists May-Kao Lybliamay (watercolor), and Mireille Gobrecht (calligraphy), will perform “live” in the Hall and will interact with the public.
For the coming week, lovers of Art and live performance will note two other events: Saturday October 14 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., the theater company Le Bathyscaphe will offer its show “Venice under the snow”. The Marsana duo will take over with a rock concert, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by a “musical bonus” from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Finally, it should be noted that the organizers offer children’s workshops every year: this year, 3 classes (CP and CM1) from the Hélène Boucher school group (i.e. 80 students), and 24 children aged 7 to 10 from the Leisure Center of the Cabirol, will participate.
