Thursday October 5 at 11 a.m., the 50th edition of “Art Colomiers Expo”, one of the most important visual arts exhibitions in the Occitanie region, will take over the 2000m² of the Hall Comminges. Until Sunday October 15 at 6 p.m., the public will be able to visit this popular event, formerly called the “Salon d’Automne”, free of charge. Alain Vintenon (painter), Robert Venezia (photographer) and Bernard Mages (sculptor) will be the guests of honor.
Alain Vintenon refined his outlook and his sensitivity through painting, engraving, sculpture, photography, before choosing acrylic, which he explores by drawing inspiration from glazing techniques inherited from oil painting. ; “a kind of film photo, but done with a brush”.
For Robert Venezia, “photographic creation is above all a shooting carried out in the sense of a transformation thought for the final image”. If he deems it necessary, he works on it using contemporary tools, which “transport his photography to other visual universes”.
Metal sculptor, Bernard Mages creates decors, furniture, mobiles, decorative objects: “Creating is a game, a joy that I try to show in what I create”. His works, often light and airy, combine poetry and creation.
Always organized by the Salon d’Automne association chaired by Annie Lamour, Art Colomiers Expo relies on the Galerie 99 section of the Léo Lagrange Leisure Club in Colomiers. Considered “one of the most beautiful in the Occitanie Region”, the event will, as always, welcome more than 130 artists and more than 300 works, handpicked in spring 2023.
Saturday October 7 at 4 p.m., a projection of photos by Jean-Pierre Turmo will precede the opening of Art Colomiers Expo (6 p.m.). Awarding of jury prizes and a welcome cocktail will then bring together artists, organizers and the public. Performances by artists, children’s workshops, theater, concerts, will follow one another over the following days. Sunday October 15 at 5:30 p.m., the public prize award will close the doors of Art Expo Colomiers.
