The director of Culture of the commune, Jaqueline Villalba Regúnega, pointed out that more professionals were hired for the implementation of bubble courses, under strict compliance with the sanitary protocol. “This year it was decided that students pay only tuition and the course is free,” he said.
He commented that the covid-19 pandemic hit the culture sector a lot, but the city is doing everything possible to give space to the development of the arts, “he said.
He explained that there are five axes of programmatic intervention and that each one has its own specific plans and projects. He commented that in the Municipal Theater School, for example, there are continuing training courses for theater students, actors and actresses, directors and directors.
He indicated that last April seminars were also held in the virtual modality with recognized national and international references.
On the other hand, the director commented that the Municipal School of Declamation has the academic development of the Higher Teachers in Declamation and Literature, from the second to the fifth year, with the face-to-face modality through work in small groups. In addition, there are face-to-face workshops on jazz dance, Paraguayan dance, popular guitar, creative art, and theater for children and adolescents.
Likewise, the department has cultural services and promotion of creative development, a municipal library, a municipal telecentre, a permanent exhibition of Ñandutí, guided visits in coordination with the Coordinadora de Tejedoras del Ñandutí.
Other guided visits are to the San Rafael Parish Museum, as well as festivals, fairs, exhibitions, and special programs. Likewise, they work in creative and solidarity networks, with a commission of artists, groups and art centers.
