Arstarulsmirus started working on a new content direction, which the musician calls “Songs of Wish” a long time ago. The aim of the wish songs is to increase a more attentive and compassionate attitude towards the inner world of a person, as well as to reflect a sincere, supportive and respectful position in mutual relations.
“Sight Points” is the first of a series of four upcoming “Wish Songs” albums, in which each of the albums will metaphorically reflect one of the four elements – water, earth, fire, air. The debut album is dedicated to the theme of water, with an emphasis on depth, smoothness, transformation, connection with others and the waves of life.
“Given the fact that what we repeat many times becomes our habit, I tried to highlight the ideals in the lyrics, which I also strive for. Thus, these ideals and their imagination, listening and singing “Songs of Wish”, can multiply our habits by a milligram, “Arstarulsmirus tells about the concept of the new album. “The creative process of the album was filled with collaboration and complementarity, which fits very well with the message of the album’s title song – We are viewpoints that complement others.”
Musically, the goal was to put the emphasis on the harmonic and melodic side, leaving a lot of percussion instruments in the air. In order to preserve the melodicity of the compositions, a quintet of beautiful vocals was formed, which consists of five soloists – Laima Dimanta, Madara Orola, Jevgēnija Krupenkina, Lauris Valters and Rihards Bērziņš. The quintet participates in almost all the songs on the album, enriching them with gorgeous polyphonic songs.
The co-author of many of the quintet’s polyphonic arrangements is Laima Dimanta, whose contribution to the creation of this album is really invaluable, as she undertook and very successfully curated the quintet’s preparation for recordings, as well as the vocal recordings themselves.

With the new album, a video of the song “Sequel” is released. The current situation of self-isolation encouraged Arstarulsmir to look for creative solutions in a new plane, so the new music video for the song “Sequel” was filmed independently, using only a telephone camera and a creative approach in limited conditions.
The composition “Continuation” was made in collaboration with the virtuoso guitarist Mārcis Auziņš. He is a co-author of music and, of course, has played all guitar parts in the composition. The vocal vocals Laima Dimanta, Madara Orola, Jevgēnija Krupenkina, Rihards Bērziņš also take part in the song. Each of them is also seen in the video of the song. The author and performer of the song’s piano part arrangements is Elvis Lintiņš.
