Arsonist Arrested for Burning Cat Shelter in Parung, Bogor Regency

The police arrested a man with the initial B (31), the perpetrator of the arson Clow Inn in Parung, Bogor Regency. The perpetrator, who is a former employee, admitted to arson because annoyed he was fired.

From the photos obtained detikcom, the perpetrator looks bare chested. The tattooed man is 155 cm tall.

Cat Shelter Fuel Motive

The police uncovered B’s motive burn shelter cat Clow’s Halfway House in Parung, Bogor Regency, West Java. The perpetrator said he was upset because he was fired.

“(The perpetrator) was a former employee, annoyed because he was fired,” said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanuddin to detikcomWednesday (12/7/2023).

The perpetrator was arrested and taken to the Headquarters of the Parung Police. Until now, he is still undergoing examination.

“No (cats were reported dead),” he said.

20 Cats Experiencing Shortness of Breath

The manager of the Clow Halfway House, Mamet, said the cats immediately received treatment when the fire occurred on Tuesday (11/7), around 04.00 WIB.

“Everything is (at the moment) safe,” said Mamet when contacted separately.

At the time of the incident, the cats had experienced shortness of breath. It happened because smoke a lot when the fire happened.

“Some are short of breath because they inhale a lot of smoke,” he said.

Luckily, none of the cats at the halfway house suffered burns from the fire. The arsonist himself is still languishing at the Headquarters of the Parung Police.
