DRACHTEN – A person was arrested on Thursday evening for attempted arson in an apartment house on Nachtegaalstraat.
The emergency services were called to a fire in an apartment house on Thursday evening. When they arrived on scene, the fire alarm went off in the complex. The police went to the house and extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher.
Shortly after the fire, the resident ran away in the direction of Nachtegaalstraat, where the man was handcuffed and arrested by the police. The fire service carried out a follow-up inspection, and there was no longer any fire.
