This Monday, May 1, the semifinal phase of the Women’s Champions League will end, with the match between Arsenal and Wolfsburg starting at 12:45 p.m. The Emirates Stadium will be the setting where the English and Germans seek to tie the result they obtained in the first leg.

However, the match is already special for the gunner cast for a very exciting reason. This weekend the Arsenal women’s team got its first sold out in history. In simple words: they sold out the entire stadium for the first time, so more than 60 thousand people are expected at this meeting.

The social networks of the English reported that there are no more tickets available for sale. Despite the fact that this year they had achieved three attendances of more than 40 thousand people at the Emirates Stadium, they had never sold so many tickets at the same time.

The maximum attendance in the Women’s Champions League in England is held by Chelsea, in the first leg of the semifinals this season against Barcelona. However, Stamford Bridge has 20,000 spaces less than Arsenal’s stadium, so they will keep the public record in the country.

The first leg ended with a 2-2 draw, so the team that wins this Monday will be the one that gets tickets to the grand final. Arsenal’s marketing campaign to achieve this record was simple: “I know the home advantage”, referring to the fact that if they are with their people, they can reach the final.

FC Barcelona is waiting for the last rival in the Women’s Champions League, after having precisely beaten Chelsea 2-1 on aggregate. The match will be played on June 3 at 10:00 a.m., at the Philips Stadion in the Dutch city of Eindhoven.
