Arsenal with AS Roma Agree Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Stay at the Giallorossi

TRIBUNJOGJA.COM ITALY – AS Roma has reached an initial agreement to retain Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan at the Olimpico for the 2020-2021 season.

A statement announced by the club said the Giallorossi had extended Armenia’s loan agreement for the remainder of the season.

CEO Guido Fienga is happy to confirm that AS Roma has also reached an agreement with Arsenal to retain the player for next season.

Mkhitaryan, who was loaned to Arsenal for the 2019-20 season and has contributed six goals and three assists.

“I am extending my stay here, because I still have things that I have not yet achieved that I want to achieve. I’m looking forward to it, “Mkhitaryan said on the club’s official website.

Reportedly earlier, AS Roma through Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi confirmed they wanted to keep Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Chris Smalling back at their respective clubs if the loan expires.

Both players are on loan from Arsenal and Man United.

Their contract is known to expire at the end of June 2020, reported Tribunjogja.com from data transfermarkt.

“We will do everything to keep both of them, let alone they want to stay,” Gianluca Petrachi said in an interview with Gianluca Di Marzio.

Problem successful or not they are negotiating with Arsenal and Man United, AS Roma will see the conditions going forward.
