After a 44-day break due to the World Cup, the English Premier League is the first of Europe’s major leagues to return. and it will do so today with its traditional and awaited Boxing Day, in which the leaders Arsenal will face West Ham.

At the top of the table with 37 points, five more than their first rival (Manchester City), the ‘Gunners’ are already dreaming of a Scudetto which has eluded them since 2004.
But according to their manager, the Spaniard Mikel Arteta, Arsenal are not in a position to give Christmas presents today (14:00) to a West Ham who are 16th in the table.
His team has an impressive balance of twelve wins, one draw and one defeat (in early September at Old Trafford).
“This second half of the season will be interesting and intense, we can’t wait to get going again,” said Arteta.
