London –
Negotiations between Juventus and Arsenal related to transfer Arthur Melo have not found an agreement. The two teams have not agreed on the duration and status of the contract.
It was reported by Sky Sport Italia, Arsenal sporting director, Edu had met with Federico Pastorello as the agent who overshadowed Arthur on Wednesday (19/1/2022) afternoon London time. Arthur basically wanted to join the Gunners.
But Arsenal only want to borrow him until the end of the season, without having to make the Brazilian midfielder permanent. Meanwhile, Juventus want Arsenal to borrow him for 18 months, with an option to make him permanent. This is something that has not yet been reached.
Juventus put forward the conditions above with the intention of releasing Arthur permanently to Arsenal in the future, because he is not part of coach Massimiliano Allegri’s plans. In addition, Juventus has found a replacement.
Most likely, Juventus will bring Nicolo Rovella home from a loan spell at Genoa. In addition, the Bianconeri are also planning to recruit Denis Zakaria from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
If at any time one or both of them joins Turin, and Arthur come home from a loan period, then the Juventus squad will be fat. In fact, the intention is to streamline the squad.
So far, there has been no concrete agreement between Arsenal and Juventus. But the Gunners still have not given up on getting Arthur.
this season, Arthur only dropped as much as 14 times in all events, with a total appearance for 586 minutes. Of these, only 6 times he started, and only once appeared the full 90 minutes.
