Arsenal led 2-0 in the first half when they hosted Wolverhampton Wanderers in Week 14 of the Premier League this season. The Gunners appeared dominant and did not give their opponents a chance to press.

Playing at the Emirates Stadium, Saturday (2/12/2023), the hosts opened the scoring in the 6th minute. The tiki-taka collaboration between Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu on the right managed to break down Wolves’ defense.

Saka, who moved into the Wolves penalty box, successfully received the final pass and completed the opportunity with a shot that found the back of Jose Sa’s goal. 1-0 to Arsenal.

Martin Odegaard doubled the Gunners’ lead seven minutes later. The Norwegian midfielder stood free in the penalty box to complete Oleksandr Zinchenko’s cross with a low shot that Jose Sa failed to anticipate.

Leandro Trossard almost scored Arsenal’s third goal in the 20th minute if his close-range shot in the 20th minute was not saved by Jose Sa. However, the Portuguese goalkeeper suffered an injury not long ago and was replaced by Daniel Bentley.

The pressure from Arsenal did not stop there. Gabriel Martinelli almost found the Wolves goal in the 37th minute, but his low shot to the right hit the crossbar.

Meanwhile, Wolves failed to create a single shot against Arsenal in the first half. The 2-0 score did not change until halftime.
