Arsenal again stalled pace in the Premier League. Winning first, the Gunners balanced Brentford 1-1.
Arsenal host Brentford at the Emirates Stadium, Saturday (11/2/2023) evening WIB, in the Premier League continued. Previously they lost 0-1 to Everton and the match against Brentford became an important opportunity, before facing Manchester City in the middle of the week.
The hosts appeared dominant, but were more threatened in the first half. This half ended goalless.
Arsenal managed to break the deadlock in the 66th minute through Leandro Trossard. It’s just that Brentford replied through Ivan Toney in the 74th minute.
This draw again held Arsenal back, although currently they still lead the Premier League standings with 51 points from 21 matches. They are six points ahead of Manchester City.
Brentford is in eighth position with 34 points.

Course of the Match
Brentford started the match and immediately spread threats in the fifth minute. Ivan Toney attacked from the right and sent a cross which was struck by Rico Henry, but his shot went overboard.
Arsenal responded in the 15th minute. Bukayo Saka teamed up with Martin Odegaard, then tried to shoot. He failed to kick perfectly because he fell under pressure from Brentford players.
barely! Arsenal almost conceded in the 25th minute. Brentford pressed on and took possession in Arsenal’s defence, with Bryan Mbeumo sending in a cut-back that Toney grabbed, then ended up hitting the crossbar!
Arsenal continued to press, but it was Brentford who again posed a threat. Toney’s hard shot in the 39th minute was driven away by Aaron Ramsdale.
Arsenal built a slick attack in the 43rd minute. Ben White crossed from the right, then Granit Xhaka bounced into the middle with a header.
Gabriel Martinelli took the ball with a volley and it still bounced. The first half ended goalless.
Arsenal tried to kick off after the restart. Odegaard’s shot using Eddie Nketiah’s pass could still be anticipated by David Raya. Brentford replied and Toney shot wide.
GOAL! Arsenal broke the deadlock in the 66th minute. Saka burst down the right and crossed in, which Leandro Trossard found at the far post.
GOAL! Brentford replied in the 74th minute. From a free kick, chaos occurred in the Arsenal penalty box. Christian Noorgard sent a cross and Toney headed it unmarked in front of goal.
Attempts from Oleksandr Zinchenko in the 88th minute only went wide to the right of the goal. No more goals in the remaining time.
